UV Phototherapy

UV Phototherapy –
the healing effects of light

UV phototherapy has been used for many skin diseases such as Psoriasis, vitiligo, neurodermatitis and various eczemas have been established as a proven and therapeutically effective treatment method. Irradiation with UV light has a calming effect on the immune system. Inflammatory skin diseases such as neurodermatitis can be alleviated. In psoriasis, the radiation inhibits growth and can thus stop the increased formation and desquamation of the skin cells. The irradiations are carried out with electronically controlled radiation systems that are equipped with special medical fluorescent fluorescent tubes. UV-B narrow spectrum emitters with a wavelength of 311 nm are rated as particularly effective in psoriasis. UVA (340-400 nm) works particularly well in neurodermatitis. With the correct dosage and duration of treatment, a clear improvement of the skin appearance up to complete freedom from appearance is possible. Phototherapy can be carried out on an outpatient basis and can be combined with other therapies. Our phototherapy systems for UV treatment in the dermatological practice and for home use are manufactured according to the strict criteria for medical devices.
